Jivani, Maureen

Jivani's poems have appeared in UK magazines and journals including Magma, Smith's Knoll, Seam, The Wolf and The Rialto. She has a M Phil in writing from Glamorgan University. Her first collection is forthcoming from Mulfran Press.

Johnson, Halvard

Johnson has received grants from the NEA, the Maryland State Arts Council and Baltimore City Arts, residency grants at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and a poetry fellowship at the Ragdale Foundation. Johnson, Elena E

Johnson was a finalist for the 2011 CBC literary awards in poetry. She lives in Vancouver, Canada. Her poetry can be found in the anthology, Rocksalt - Contemporary Poets of British Columbia, and she has been writer-in-residence at a remote research station in the Yukon.

Johnson, Chalmers

Chalmers is president of the Japan Policy Research Institute and author of 'Blowback: The costs and consequences of American empire' (Holt Metropolitan Books, 2000). 'The Sorrows of Empire' will be published by Metropolitan Books on 1 January 2004.

Johnston, Fred

Johnston has published eight volumes of poetry, a collection of stories and the novel Mapping God/Le tracé de dieu (Wynkin de Worde 2003). He founded Galway's annual literature festival and its writers' centre.
