on travel
by Tusia Dabrowska
[ poetry - july 12 ]
i study lines forming on
my forehead, pars pro
toto of my first mother,
earth.
i learn from letters,
found among my long
gone grandmother's
treasures, love will
outlast us.
i hope, i say to him
waving a pregnancy
test, we will have
a chance to plan life.
we laugh
until time stops.
